Clicking Sound When PedalingUpdated 3 months ago
First thing to check is chain tension. If your chain is too tight (and dry) it will cause a popping sound when it clicks into the chainring/fixed gear. There should always be a little bit of slack in your chain.
Another thing it could be is the bolt that holds the sprocket to the drive-side crankarm. They don't always come pre-tightened down and the play in the chainring will cause a sound as well as further damage to the ring if not properly tightened.
Lastly, with the chain off rotate the pedals slowly and listen for sound. If there is clicking with no chain on, it could be an ungreased bottom bracket.
