Professional Assembly:
For optimal performance and safety, we recommend that your bike be assembled and maintained by a certified technician. While you may choose to assemble or maintain your bike yourself, please note that City Grounds cannot be held responsible for any issues that may arise from improper assembly or maintenance. Incorrect assembly, maintenance, or improper use can lead to component failure, loss of control, and potentially cause serious injury to yourself or others. Always prioritize safety and follow the advice of a trained, professional mechanic at a shop.
Electrical Safety:
For your safety and to maintain the integrity of your eBike, we strongly recommend against making any alterations, modifications, or other changes to the electrical system that could affect its operation, safety, or mechanical integrity. Such modifications will void your warranty and could potentially compromise your safety. We are not responsible for any issues that may arise from unauthorized/incompatible modifications.
Battery and Charger Safety:
For your safety and the longevity of your product, it's essential to ONLY use the OEM battery and charger that came with the bike. Using incompatible or damaged accessories can lead to unexpected malfunctions, potential fire hazards, or damage to your bike. If you notice any of the following, please discontinue use immediately and contact City Grounds customer support:
- If you notice any signs of wear or damage to your eBike's charging cable, including frayed or exposed wires on the eBike itself.
- If your battery or charger exhibits any signs of damage, malfunction, or unusual behavior including, but not limited to:
- Cracks/breaks on the plastic shell
- Flashing indicator lights
- Inconsistent current
- Leaking or visible corrosion
- If your battery or charger has been subjected to a significant impact, such as a fall or crash, even without visible signs, it may be compromised.
- If your battery or charger has been exposed to moisture or submerged in liquid, it is essential to disconnect it from power immediately.
- Your charger is designed to operate at a warm temperature during normal use. However, if you notice any of the following, please discontinue use:
- Excessive heat: If the charger or battery becomes unusually hot to the touch.
- Unusual odors: If the charger or battery emits any strange or concerning smells.
- Popping sounds: If you hear any unusual popping or clicking noises from the charger or battery.
